London: WIlliam Heinemann, 1913. Hardcover. Fine. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham.. Thick 4to. 549pp. Illustrated with 24 tipped-in color plates by Rackham. Finely bound by Sotheran in half blue Levant morocco, spine in six compartments, intricately gilt; blue cloth boards; top edge gilt; marbled endpapers. Trace of sunning to the spine but a fine copy in a fine binding. The first edition of the Ingoldsby Legends was printed in 1898 with a second edition, enlarged and corrected, appearing in 1907. See Latimore & Haskell, p. 30, for the 1907 edition.
