Book Condition: Very Good +; scant wear to head, tail, and tips; small suntan area on board tops. DJ: Very Good; small hole on spine; light wear to tips. White boards with dark gray overlay on the spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 489 pp 8vo. The author was of Swedish/German parentage and an early career in Europe before taking America by storm in saintly roles that catapulted her to stardom. Her affair and out of wedlock child with Italian director Roberto Rossellini took her marriage, her reputation, and her career for 16 years, and a denouncement in the US Senate. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
