Privately printed at the Cambridge University Press,1926, small 4to, pp.x, (2),358, photo frontis of the entrance to Healey Hall. Original buckram, Hand-made paper, top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Very good condition. It is believed that only 100 copies were printed. Inside the front cover is Richard Heape's bookplate and on the endpaper is an inscription from Harold Heape. Loosely inserted is a pamphlet by Richard Heape on " Some Examples of Dated Buildings within the Ancient Parish of Rochdale" 1922.

Full maroon morocco with 4 gilt-decorated raised bands, decorative border in blind to boards and gilt titles and armorial to upper board; marbled endpapers Covers lightly scuffed with a few polish marks. Ownership blind-stamp twice to first blank; no annotation or inscriptions. A Near Fine copy. The illustrations without the text of the comprehensive family history of the Heapes of Heape, Staley, Saddleworth and Rochdale, and with the pedigrees that appeared within the text leaves of the original book omitted. Description:
Rochdale, 1905, privately printed for presentation to the family only. Quarto, pp. xix, 380, with a huge number of illustrations and pedigrees. A magnificent production bound in full decorated vellum. The authors state in the introduction that the work cost them £1700 to produce. Excellent condition and it should be noted that the large main pedigree normally inserted in a pocket at the back of the book is here bound separately in leather. There is a chapter on the Heapes and Australia 1839 to 1867.
