Antique religious tract by American clergyman Nehemiah Adams (1806-1878) who was the pastor of the Essex Street Church in Boston. He also was the author of "A South-Side View of Slavery" (Boston, 1854) written after a trip to the American South, which suggested slavery was beneficial to the religious character of the slaves, and for which he received much hostile criticism. Truths for the Times Number Two.
