New York: Jersey City Business College, for G.A. Gaskell, 1887. Twenty-Second. Softcover. Fair. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and relatively sturdy. Tape-repaired spine, printed, illustrated wraps, soiled a bit, clipped bottom tip, chipped at rear panel at spine, else a clean and unmarked copy. Complemented with deliciously precise black-and-white illustrations, including of the orthodactyllic pen-holder, how to instruct others, how to sit at a table, and how to hold one's pen. Laid in is also an added bonus: a test of some kind, written on a single sheet, from French Grove, Illinois, of someone testing his or her writing by having written letters "A" through "Z," twice. She "passed," given the embossed "Advance" that appears at the upper left tip of the page. Sweet! Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
