Inscribed to Francis Merritt, the founder and first Director of Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts. Inscription on ffep reads, " 15th copy Jan 30 1987 Jack Lenor Larsen." Includes page laid-in titled 'Interlace: On Plaiting and Related Structures (working title)'. As he was writing the book Larsen sent out this call for submissions looking for ideas for contributors; stapled to it is a note on Larsen's stationary.
