About This Item

NY: L. Harper & Brothers, 1951. First American edition of the author's first book. A treatise that combines knowledge that was current in 1950 together with Clarke's extrapolations of the science and engineering needed to accomplish interplanetary flight. A fine copy with very slight fading to spine, in a crisp dust jacket that shows some browning to the front flap.
