An Introduction to the Study of Seaweeds by George Murray - 1895

London and New York: Macmillan and Co., 1895 A good copy of Murray's introduction to seaweeds. In original red cloth binding with page edges marbled. With numerous black and white illustrations and 8 colour chromolitho plates as called for. The book was presented to Court House Library by the Earl of Feversham in 1908 according to a slip pasted to front pastedown endpaper. There is the ink number 479 which is also written on the book spine. There are no other visible signs of library ownership. The spine and edges are faded with rubbing to corners. The original endpapers are present but a bit spotty. Contents are generally very clean bar some occasional spotting and the plates, which are protected, are very clean and brightly coloured.
