New York and London: D. Appleton & Co, 1910. Later printing. Hardcover. Very good. 142pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Light green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and embossed ornamentation on the spine and front cover, and an illustrated oval paper label on the front cover. Decorative light green and white endpapers illustrated with flowers and butterflies. Color frontispiece illustration. There is a small stain on the spine, and a previous owner's faint name on the top edge of the text block. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letter press printer, John Ruyle, with his notations in pencil on the front flyleaf. A fantastic satire with a Art Nouveau poet and his eight daughters who have been raised in the country and in "nature.
