About This Item

Joliet IL: Signal Printing Office, for the author, 1878. Hardcover. xii, 167p., hardbound in 7x4.5 inch green cloth boards cover-titled gilt and panelling in blind. Casing is faintly dust-soiled with a few touches of silverfishing, else near-immaculate; the matte brown endsheets unmarred, the textblock completely sound. The superb condition is partly accounted for by the drear of the verse; however, author's terminal notes are of mild historical interest, as in "trivia". Even a doughty reader may require a Bukowski pick-up after a canto or two.
