Cloth spined boards, G+. xiv+262pp, index, boards rubbed along the edges & at the corners, cloth likewise to the spine, occasional light foxing, a fair copy on an uncommon item. Grimm Library volume 18. Booksellers ticket of W Erskine Mayne, Belfast to the pastedown. On the endpaper is the inscription - 'H Macnaghten from E & O Xmas 1908'. In pencil underneath is a note to state that the book came from the library at Runkerry House, given to Helen Macnaghten from her sisters Edith & Octavia. A comparative study of the Fis Adamnáin of Saint Adamnán and the work of Dante with reference to the debt owed by the latter to the former. The book includes a full translation of Saint Adamnán's vision.
