Seventeenth printing of first edition. Inscribed on title page:"Miss Martha Brown, with all good wishes" and signed: " John Beaty, Barboursville, Va". Dated: "Christmas 1960 New Year 1961". Beaty, a teacher at Southern Methodist University and a veteran of the Military Intelligence service during World War II, was charged with being anti-semitic because of this book. "The Iron Curtain Over America" charges that communism is a Jewish conspiracy and this ideology fit in nicely with ultra-conservative political opinion during the Sen. Joseph McCarthy era.
