Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; light shelfwear to bottom edges; light wear to head; age browning of endpapers. DJ: Near Fine; slight wear to tips; suntanning to spine. Teal paper covered boards and spine with white lettering on the spine and front board with island picture. 47 pp 8vo. With 8 plates in color and 27 illustrations in B&W. The author has written of the islands lying off the coast of the British Isles. As an ornithologist he has studies most of the islands from their Bird Stations. The beauty of the isles is admirably described in this book. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.

Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Pages and illustrations have light tanning throughout. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Wear marks overall. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Small areas of loss to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges. Wear marks and light foxing overall.
