Isn't That Just Like a Man! / Oh! Well! You Know How Women Are!

by RINEHART, Mary Roberts ; COBB, Irwin S

Condition: See description

New York: George H. Doran Company, 1920. No statement of edition. Octavo (19.5cm.); pictorial paper-covered boards in purple and green pictorial dustwrapper; 32+32pp. Mild handling wear; toning to edges and cover margins; bottom edge of Cobb cover dampstained w/ slight material loss, corresponding damage to wrapper. Dustwrappers chipped in spots, with some closed tears and soiling; toned spine; stray pen marks on inner flap. Gift inscription on ffep (Rinehart side), dated 1924. Just about Very Good. Mary Roberts Rinehart and Irwin S. Cobb wage a battle of the sexes in these two short, humorous essays bound dos-à-dos. An amusing peek into gender roles, expectations, and irritations in the dawn of the Roaring Twenties, with much ado about the contemporary Suffrage movement.
