About This Item

NY: Atheneum, 1967. Later., 1967. Later printing. 8vo. 352 pp. + 4 maps. Original green and orange cloth binding. Map endpapers. The book is INSCRIBED by the famed middle weight boxers Carmen Basilio and Jake LaMotta (aka "The Raging Bull") and a third person Ron ? on the second front endpaper: "To my Pal | Roger Bertoia | Best wishes always | Carmen Basilio | Jake LaMotta | The only realy (sic) Fine | people are Italians!! | Ron ?" The introductory wishes are in Basilio's hand and the nationalistic sentiment in Ron's. A near fine book in very good DJ. Although the book is a later printing the Italian/boxing connection is quite lovely!. Signed by Author(s). Hardcover. Near Fine/Dust Jacket Included.
