ILP Edition, 1921. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1921. First Edition. 387 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt titles to front and spine. Introduction by J Ramsay Macdonald. Includes photographic plates. Upper text block edge gilt. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and rear pastedown. Some annotations and marginalia throughout. Boards have some edge wear, with moderate bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Short tear to upper spine end. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Boards are slightly bowed. A few liquid droplet marks.
