New York: Harper Brothers, 1883. First edition. Hardcover. Good +. xvii + 461 pages. Numerous illustrations and Illustrated frontis with tissue. 5 1/4 x 8 in. Red half morocco binding with marbled boards, gilt lettering on spine, 5 raised bands, top edge of text block gilt, end papers marbled. Condition of the book is GOOD+: wear to covers- esp. at spine edge, spine a bit more worn, front cover hinge cracked and cover almost detached, rear hinge starting to crack, light foxing to edges of text block, pages clean, binding tight.
