Each volume contains biographical information about the artists and a bibliography of books and catalogues mentioned in the text. All are decorated paper over boards, of various colors with cloth spines and mounted title label. PRIMITIVE PERIOD: 1942. Limited to 1000 copies. 50 prints illustrated, twenty in color and thirty in half-tone. Includes glossary. Three of four corners are bumped, one corner is rubbed. HANUROBU AND SHUNSHO: 1945. Limited to 400 copies. Eight plates in color and forty-four in half-tone. Bump to bottom corner, mildly effecting a few pages. Small ink mark on title-page. BUNCHO TO UTAMARO: 1948. Limited to 400 copies. Twenty plates in color, thirty in half-tone. Light bump to one rear corner. SHARUKU TO TOYOKUNI: 1950. Limited to 1000 copies. Sixteen plates in color and forty-five in half-tone. HOKUSAI AND HIROSHIGE: 1951. Limited to 1000 copies. Eight plates in color and forty-four in half-tone. Very mild bumps to two corners and spine corner. A very nice clean set. Multiply volumes will probably require extra shipping.
