Boston: Frederick J. Quimby, 1899. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Very Good-/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. This limited (1,000 copies) is clean, tight, basically square with pretty good corners and unmarked. It has a minimal roll and is lightly rubbed at the edges, noticeable at the ends of the spine and tips of the corners. There is light damp stain on the lower corner that does not extend to the text. It has red marbled end papers and 364, 252, bright clear pages (many unopened), gilt edged at the top, with occasional black & white plates in a three-quarter binding with red leather on the corners and spine where there are also gilt titles and decorations. The boards are covered in red marbled paper which is mildly faded. It is undated, but the introduction indicates it was published in the last decade of the 19th century.
