The book is illustrated with a map of Israel, and a map of Jerusalem, and 16 pages of black-and-white photography. Indexed. This autobiography does start of with the author's history from birth through to the establishment of the State of Israel, and then describes the last 10 years of the history of Jerusalem (1978) where he was the mayor and as such rights about the subtle problems involved in running a city with a mixed Jewish-Arab population, the sensitive issues surrounding the holy places, and his involvement in the promotion of Jerusalem's cultural and physical growth, at his personal views on how to charter the future of this Holy City – paraphrasing the front fold over blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
