The bigoted Françoise is doing all she can to stop her daughter marrying of the enormously wealthy Saul, because he is Jewish. But her bosom friend who is doing research into Judaism, has surprising discoveries that reveal that if she can't wed someone with Jewish blood there may be no one in the entire Western world whom she can marry.Â
