Hardback 216 page book shows rubbing of edges with boards exposed at corners, there is a name written inside front cover, foxing of endpapers, blank rear endpaper has been removed -last page of story may be missing also, but text sounds like it could be the ending-if not, very close. There are heavy ink marks inside rear cover along with other damage there. Text is clean and very good. No dust jacket.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean (slight browning to endpapers). No names, writing or bookplates. Color illustration by Marguerite Kirmse laid in (this probably was originally a frontispiece which was bound in); illustrated with black and white drawings throughout. 216 pages. Clean jacket is not price clipped, has 1" chip at top spine edge, additional very small edge chips. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
