About This Item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday, Doran, 1928. This 1928 volume is in Very Good+ condition (click on photo), without dust jacket. Benet's epic poem of the American Civil War, those who fought in it and those who were left behind, was so popular that a subsequent stage version toured the country for many years. The 1928 Title Page date matches the copyright date. The book has the signature and date of the former owner. This copy is clean and attractive, with a hint of age toning. The book measures 5 3/4 by 8 3/4 inches and includes 377 pages. . Hard Cover. Very Good+/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
