John Brown?s Body by Stephen Vincent Benét. From The 100 Greatest Masterpieces of American Literature limited edition series, published under the auspices of The American Revolution Bicentennial Administration. Bound in black leather with lavish gilt decoration to the boards and spine, with rose silk moiré endpapers. The Title, the author's name, and the publisher's name are gilt-stamped to the spine and are separated by five un-tooled raised leather bands. The edges of the leaves are gold gilt, (a.e.g.). A tan silk ribbon marker is laid-in. Illustrated throughout in black and white by Peter Harritos.
