Blue Ribbon Books, 1929. The pages of this copy are clean except for a prior owner's name penned at the front free endpaper and a newspaper clipping taped to the front endpaper; a little toning at the edges of the page block and endpapers, otherwise surprisingly bright; binding square and secure, hard cover faded at head edges and rubbed at spine ends and corners but otherwise clean and sound. Jacket has some open tearing at the spine head, chips and tiny tears at heel and corners, a long, partially open tear at the top front, fading at the spine, and toning front and back, yet remains attractive, now protected in a clear sleeve. 256pp. Alas, still a timely criticism of a philanthropist whose charitable funds came from corporate monopoly at the expense of the poor.. Hard Cover. Good/Acceptable.
