Includes numerous b&w plates, showing both Audubon's famous bird and wildlife paintings, as well as portraits by Mr. Audubon and others. Color frontis illustration of Great Blue Heron. --- In full beige cloth-covered boards w/titling in gilt on black spine block; binder's blue topstain. Lacks the dust jacket. --- Top edge has been exposed to dampness resulting in waterspotting, but this doesn't affect the pages themselves. Prior owner's signatures on a few leaves near the front of the volume; else a bright, firm, clean copy. ; tall 8vo 9" - 10" tall; xiv, 488 pages .
