An Everyman's Library edition offering two works by Henry Fielding (1707-1754). The first is his fictionalized life of Jonathan Wild, the notorious London gangster. The second is his account of his voyage to Lisbon, which was published posthumously. Mr. Fielding died and was buried in Lisbon. Includes an introduction by A. R. Humphreys. Everyman's Library #877. --- In Everyman's Library larger format binding style 4. Full blue cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling and gilt interlocked "EL" in script at tail of spine; pale orange topstain. Volume wrapped in blue dust jacket with vignette of real life Jonathan Wild counterpart Jack Sheppard in chains in Newgate Prison, being both drawn and painted by artists. --- With prior owner's signature to front free endpaper, otherwise a clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy. Jacket with some yellowing to spine, else bright, intact and wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo (7 to 7-1/2 in. tall) ; xviii, 286 pages .
