by George L Peet

Condition: Good

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic , 1983. First edition. Paperback. Good. Peet arrived in Kuala Lumpur, as the Straits Times' first correspondent stationed in the city, when the Federal Capital was barely half a century old. Within living memory, the new city had been a Chinese mining village. However, as this personal selection of his articles for the paper demonstrates, Peet's remit stretched throughout the peninsula as it came to grips with being an important part of the British imperial domain. 175 pages. Please see the scan of the contents page for further details. Weight: 0.5kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has some wear around the edges. There is a previous owner's name written neatly on the title page. There is some spotting on the inside covers, title page and a rear end paper. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is mild tanning throughout.
