"In this edition the appendices which formed the last seventy pages of Volume I and the entire second volume of the original edition have been omitted, but the footnote references thereto have been retained for the convenience of the reader who may wish to consult the official documents of the General Purchasing Agent." from Note to the One-Volume Edition. Price clipped. 1/2"x2" chip at rear panel near spine dj with 1/2" chip along bottom edge and a few very small chips and closed tears to same, else, Pristine, no wear. Clean, tight and strong binding with no underlining, highlighting or marginalia. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine, and gilt top text block edge.
