Complete with ten full page plates and a folding map detailing the route of the work in colour. Illustrations taken from sketches by the author, of whom very little is known. In a Bickers and Son binding for Owen's Grammar School. Condition: In a full morocco prize binding Bickers and Son. Externally, very smart with some rubbing and marks to the boards. Spine slightly faded. Prize bookplate to front pastedown. Front hinge tender after frontispiece. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright with light scattered spotting throughout. Folding map with closed tears at creases but otherwise in very good condition. Overall: GOOD.
