Cambridge: at the Cambridge University Press, 1930. Hardcover. xviii, 237p., a variety of plates, a couple of maps on folded onionskin, charts showing of order-of-battle, hardbound in 10x6.5 inch blue cloth boards gilt. A very worn copy that has been restored with genuine success if not pristinity: both hinges supplied with repair-tissue, neatly laid down, and perhaps other now-invisible touches. Cloth is dim with handling, gilt titling and devices are rubbed to near-illegibility, endsheets heavily foxed, ownership fiche to pastedown. Oddly tight and square for so-handled a book; in sum not a collectable but an excellent reading copy, now quite sound, never dust-soiled or marked up within. Laid in find a TLs (see below) and something relevant in the German language. Fiche of Prof. R.G.
