About This Item
J. R. Publications, 1973-01-01. Paperback. Good. J. R. Publications, New York [Published Date: 1973]. Sheet Music, snare drum. Paper covers, 80 pp. In good condition. Glossy green and black paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing, spotting and soiling with a bit of the color scuffed off along edges and heavier spotting to the back cover. Binding tight (staple bound). Light staining to the bottom edge of the inside front cover and first few pages. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked.[From Preface] [This book] is a beginning method book which covers all of the essential snare drum techniques. Included are many duets and odd-meter studies designed to prepare the student for performing today's band and orchestral literature. Due to the many different approaches to teaching, descriptions, explanations, and sticking indications have been left up to the individual instructor. I have, however, upon the introduction of each new rhythm, provided a basic method of counting. In order to allow the student to become accustomed to the rhythms and various meters presented in this text, dynamic indications do not appear until the latter part of the book.
