Squarish 8vo; original khaki cloth, with green and brown lettering; dustwrapper, housed in removable protector; pp. (ii) + ii + (ii) + 285, incl. index; folding maps. Dustwrapper tanned and edgeworn; page edges a little browned throughout. Very good condition. Afrikaans text. (Nienaber I, p. 354) This work on the Cape colony's involvement in the Anglo-Boer War, on both sides of the conflict, is based on the author's 1932 doctoral thesis. .
