Tall hardcover in pictorial dust jacket. 17 pages illustrated with frontispiece, map, + 40 color plates with titled tissue guards, chart of evolution of Kangra art. Bound in cloth boards with lettering embossed on front and spine. With signed and inscribed "High Commissioner For India" bookplate on half-title page. Kangra Painting draws its inspiration from the Krishna cult which stimulated literary activity in the 16th and 17th centuries. Dust jacket a bit worn else good overall condition; no owner inscription, NOT EX-LIBRARY. (fr/cart1)
