New Haven: Yale University Press, (1985). First edition. 21.5 cm x 14.5 cm, light brown cloth, pp. xi, 129. Soviet atomic physicist, Pyotr Leonidovick Kapitsa, spent several years in Britain as a valued colleague of Ernest Rutherford. This copy with a typed slip of paper which reads: "On Permanent Loan to the library of Arthur E. Covington". Covington was a distinguished astro-physicist, and the originator of radio astronomy in Canada. Also with a few brief notes regarding another publication in Covington's hand, tipped to the endpaper, and a few more sparse notations on the rear free endpaper. A fine copy in dust jacket..
