On Hotel Kenmores stationery, 9 ¼ x 5 1/8. Small, neat tape repair to verso. Usual uniform toning. Very good. Wiggin (1856-1923) was an author and educator of Welsh descent. Born in Philadelphia, she went west with her family. She started San Franciscos first free kindergarten in 1878 (the Silver Street Free Kindergarten). In the 1880s, she and her sister founded a training school for kindergarten teachers. Her works include The Birds Christmas Carol (1887) and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1903). Dated 189-.
