Keri, The Wonderful Kiwi Who Flew

by Hopkins, H.R

Condition: Near Fine/Good+

Wellington, Australia: A.H. & A.W. Reed, 1969. 1969 First Edition. NEAR FINE in GOOD+ dust jacket. A colorfully illustrated tale of a non-conformist kiwi bird, by the very talented author/artist H.R. Hopkins. The story is told in entertaining couplet verse - a pleasure for young readers and adults - and all pages carry color artwork. The dust jacket and cover carry a full-wrap illustration (the art extends to the back panel). A very good copy of this now uncommon book. No writing, bookplates or stampings. Light spotting to front endpaper, text pages clean and bright. Hardcover of printed paper over boards is fresh with little edgewear, upper front corner is bumped. Binding and hinges tight and square. Unclipped jacket is clean with moderate wear: two closed tears (2" and 3") and creasing at the tears. There is also a one inch chip at the head of the spine. Price is not printed on the jacket. Jacket is in a clear archival protector. 7-3/4 x 10-1/2". 32 pages. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good+. Illus. by Hopkins, H.R.. Small 4to.
