SIGNED PRESENTATION COPY - A good 1893 (apparent 1st edition) hardcover without dustwrapper, in aged/soiled decorative boards which were once cream, aged/tanned to a mottled brown. Dulled gilt decoration, very bumped corners, tanned spine bumped/rubbed to the spine ends with some damage to both ends. DEDICATED TO OTTO KYLLMANN (publisher and senior director of Constable & Co from 1909 until 1950), SIGNED WITH THE INITIAL 'S' AND DATED JAN '93. Front hinge is cracked but secure, tanned, occasionally lightly foxed pages, very tanned to the rough cut edges. Carefully packaged and posted within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland.; 301 pages; Signed by Author .
