Covers lightly rubbed at the edges. Kiki Smith is a West German born American artist whose work is imbued with themes of sex, birth, and regeneration. Her work has confronted subjects such as AIDS and gender, and more recently the human condition in relationship to nature.

An exhibition catalog with contributions by Linda Nochlin, Lynne Tillman, and Marina Warner. Signed in pencil by Kiki Smith on the half title: "Best, Kiki Smith, 2006.
