This book was a gift for Helen Grotke, who was the schoolteacher on the motion picture set tutoring the school-age actors. Inscribed by Harper Lee and twelve members of the cast, including Gregory Peck, Robert Duvall and the children. Many of the actors have written the names of their characters under their inscriptions. Mary Badham's reads, "To Miss Grotke, my favorite teacher. Mary Badham (Scout)."
