About This Item

London: Hogarth Press, 1929. First edition, No. 11 in the Hogarth Living Poets collection, printed in a run of 1000 copies. 8vo. 42pp. Publisher's bright blue paper covered boards titled in black to spine and front board. Faded to the spine section, otherwise only minor signs of wear, strong, bright and clean, minor spotting to prelims, a crisp copy made even more so by the presence of the scarce paper wraparound band, reminding readers of the fact that Sackville-West's "The Land" was the winner of the coveted Hawthornden Prize. Bookplate of Lavender Christie Miller to front pastedown. Rarely this nice.
