We acquired this book because the dust jacket (good+ condition: bit tattered at the edges) has a kind of demented Semitic looking(not in a good way) Christmas elf hovering on the top left corner of the jacket and that elf is holding some 1x2's in a way that suggests violence. There's also a pretty complicated book-binding project featured on the same front panel and that demented-elf-book-binding-project combination was way too much to resist. A collector of striking graphic dust jackets from Germany would do well to consider this offering. A closer look at the contents of the book reveal that , if all civilization were to be destroyed tomorrow, with this one volume one would have the clear - illustrated - explained-in-German step by steps to make just about anything worth making. So you survivalists who read German (or have a decent Eng.-Ger. dictionary [don't count on Google being up]) should take a look too. Mit 225 Illustrationen, davon 175 mehrfarbig-good ones.
