New York: Alfred A. Knopf , 1946. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Gilt lettering on brown covers. 8vo's, 1043pp. plus notes in the 3 volumes. Each volume has a bookplate on the inside of the front cover depicting a man in a red coat, black boots & top hat standing under a red lantern, in front of an open book. Printed on the pages of the books is: "Stop Look and Read within If so it please thee friend But pray return the book to me When thou hast reached The End". The Name of the book's owner, in a box below the illustrated part, has been blacked out.
