Blue cloth with white, color-illustrated dustjacket. appx. 90 pp. 17 color, 56 bw plates. Very uncommon. Color plates are tipped-in. Text in English and Japanese. Plates are followed by a listing of the plates and a chronology. Illustrates paintings, drawings and lithographs. The exhibition was held March 20-April 25, 1954. Spine title is Yasuo Kuniyoshi on both the dustjacket and the book itself, as well as along the cardboard slipcase.

Yasuo Kuniyoshi (1893-1953) was a Japanese-American painter, photographer and printmaker, helped found the Woodstock School in Woodstock New York, and though most often associated with landscapes, also painted women later in his career; many of those portraits are included here.
