Lg.8vo., 24 card leaves printed on rectos only; title vignette & 29 illustrations etched on the plate by Foster himself with text overprinted in red; occasional slight spotting but a good copy in original red grained cloth, gilt with multiple varied borders around central lettering, repeated on lower cover in blind, backstrip unadorned, all edges gilt. This copy includes a bookplate of Franklin Dexter. Bound in full calf with gold and blind stamped decoration. All gilt edges. Some bumping to corners, wear and rubbing to boards and spine. Two small closed tears to blank page opposite title-page, front endpaper detached and some leaves detached near rear. Sporadic foxing to a few pages not affecting text or… Read More
