London: Goodall, 1985. First? Edition. First? Printing. fair. 18 cm, 242, wraps, covers worn. Foreword by Air Vice-Marshall Don Bennett. Thompson joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941. Arriving in England in 1942, he flew Lancasters with the 106 Squadron for six weeks before being posted to the elite Pathfinders with the 83 Squadron. He took part in the bombing of Berlin in 1943-1944.
