Collated complete. Undated, dated through copies held at the British Library. This work is an exploration of the Norfolk Breckland, deriving its name from the unusual gorse-covered sandy heath there. It is one of the driest areas in England and is now a Special Protection Area, as its flora and fauna are of great interest. Charles Kent (1823-1902) was an English poet, biographer, and journalist. He was editor of the Sun from 1845 to 1870, while studying law. He was called to the bar in 1859 as a member of Middle Temple, but thereafter devoted himself to literature.
