In 1859, American missionary William Thomson published a report recounting his experiences in the Middle East – 'The Land and the Book'. It was a book written to give context to Biblical stories as well as illustrate many of the locations and places described in the Bible. This volume entitled 'Southern Palestine and Jerusalem' covers the most iconic places in the Holy Land, such as Jerusalem, Jericho, the Mount of Olives, Damascus, and other Old and New Testament locations.
