This book is in good condition. There is a substantial amount of wear on the front, back and spine of the cover boards. The edges of the cover boards are also worn. The corners have also been bumped considerably. The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover board. The pages are beginning to yellow and tan.

Nowadays Greek is like lace in that few men care whether they "get" any or not. However, a little rummaging in the debris of history reveals that not so very long ago a knowledge of Greek, like the possession of an assortment of lace cuffs and jabots, was an indispensable mark of a gentleman.
