Manchester: A. Burgess & Co., 1846. 12mo. 23, [1] pp.

Very uncommon sole edition: Cultural dominance is here proposed as a means of improving British commerce with India and China. The author suggests that the joys of Christianity and English literature will enable merchants to pursue free trade without military assistance, apparently with the goal of persuading the reader that missionary societies promoting English-language => printing operations should be supported with financial contributions.
